Reaper streaks down from the tree, slashing his sword down...and the dummy rocks around as the wooden blade slamms into it. Landing, the young ninja slashes skillfully, delivering blows that would overwhelm the foes he was used to fighting. Despite his obvious skill, a master would see he was...unpolished.Still, it was equally evident hed learned one of the most important lessons...The sword is a part of you. Reaper dances back a few steps, examining his 'enemy' as late night crickets  chirp, waggling his weapon. The practice sword was shapped the same as his real sword, but about 10 pounds heavier.

He was not like the other shoddy wannabee ninja; Kyo knew how to hunt prey like a predator. An animal in human form, Kyo's red eyes glowed radiantly as they gazed upon the masked lone wolf who was duking it out with a dummy tree during the night. His vision traced every stroke and thrust made by the man, analyzing both the flaws in posture and the fluidity of the movement. It was never the actual swing or slash that he feared, though. It was also the stance and the timing of it. That was what made an attack.

From his distance, he could not be detected, but he would make himself known soon enough. "This little swashbuckler needs some dire tutoring...." Kyo said to himself. Lifting his sword, he angled it before throwing it with rapid thrust. An instant later, his Tenro would skewer the "head" of the wooden dummy like a bullet through the brain. Kyo followed shortly after, landing right on the bottom of the hilt of his sword as if he teleported on it. "Nice to meet cha again, Mr. Samaritan. Don't you think it's time to stop playing with the kiddie toys?"

As the sword slams into the practice dummy's head, Reaper flips backward, drawing his real sword and grabbing throwing knives from a hidden sheath as he settles into a close to the ground guarding stance, examining the man carefully before straightening up."Ah, its you, Mr. Kyo....you mean this?" He sheathes his knives, picking up the wooden sword." Even warriors more skilled then me train with 'dead' blades. Besides, its weighted, to build up my strength." He nods respectfully." But I'm sure you have better methods."

"Those men don't know squat. No blade is without life. A fella who can't reach out to their blade will be left dead when the going gets tough. Ah blablah, I'm probably spouting gibberish to you right now, so I'll make it simple to ya", Kyo said. He took his blade from the dummy and descended to the ground, feet on grass.

"Yeah, you got a long way to go man, but you wanna know the best way to get to the top?" Kyo asked. He stabbed thew tip of the blade to the ground and laid his two hands right on the bottom of the hilt, chin resting on the back of his hands.

"Killing", he seethed.

"It need not even be the sword. The quickest place to learn and practice is the battlefield. Combat makes men out of boys. Only after you've survived your final battle do you truly understand what it means to fight. We swordsmen refer to such people as kensai ~ the sword saints - the top masters who have been enlightened by the sword the most. Well then, ya fresh virgin. Do you wanna see what a real battle is like?"

Reaper narrows his eyes."My humblest apologies, sir, but I have faced battle. I've felt flesh splitting beneath my blade, had men falling with a knife in their chest, smelled the burning of skin as I hold my palm to their face. My sword and I have faced death together, it is a part of me. I may be a cub compared to you, but never less, I still have fangs. Never less, sir, feel free to teach me."

(lol, by a dead blade I meant a blade thathas an unsharpened edge, as opposed to a sharp, 'live' blade. My apologies, I should have written clearer.)

"Ho ho?" Kyo scoffed as he gripped a hand on the hilt of Tenro. "So you think you've stepped upon the boundary of death? You were always a comical one in my bloody eyes, but it looks like I may find you interesting. If you've got more balls than most people, then show it to me!"

Kyo stood tall and proud, confident in dominating his target's willpower. A devilish grin appeared on his face as his eyes grew even redder than before; his hair and clothes seemed to be moving on their own. He mustered up his characteristic bloodlust and with great concentration, exerted it upon Reaper. An abstract aura formed around him from inside of himself. With technique, he manifested raw killing intent and directed it all towards Reaper, aiming to overwhelm him and to make him shiver a little. Only the superior predator can come out as the dominant alpha male.

As Kyo manifests his killing intent, Reaper's eyes widen, and he begins to take a step back, only to stop and return to his previous position, though he was still affected.," hmph...ninja of this village...seem fond of that..." He shakes his head, trying to get control of himself." ......Never said I knew it all...that just proved it."He looks at demon eyes.".......Well, sir.....wish to test my skill?"

Kyo looked ravenously at Reaper, satisfying his famished blood lust with the weakening of his spirit. It was a shame that he could not get a look at his face. Kyo noticed a psychologically stumble when he saw Reaper physically retreat for a moment, but something had toughened up inside of him. He stood his ground, held his own, and even approached the bloodlusted Kyo.

His pleasure went slack, and was replaced with the feeling of boredom. His killer aura retreated, and all traces of murderous intent that radiated into the air disappeared without a trace. All was still once more. Kyo flung his blade across his shoulder. "Huh! So you've got a couple of battles under your belt. You're not complete fodder material, boy. Ah, that's right. What should I call you again?"

Reaper grits his teeth. Man...this man's spirit was powerful. Then the Jonin cancels whatever he was doing. Mentally breathing a sigh of relief, Reaper straightens up."...I am he called Reaper, Kyo, sir, weilder of the Seigi No Kiba."

"Reaper, huh...." Kyo repeated. "Fine by me. I don't know what this Seigi no Kiba thingamajig is, but you're special enough for your name to be burned in my mind".

"Only way I'm gonna test you is if we fight. But I ain't gonna clash swords with you when you got a dead blade like that to defend yourself. Plus, I can tell you would kick it in a heartbeat the moment I get so excited that I can't control my strength. Don't want nobody dying on me when I'm in a good mood. Hm! See ya later, Reaper!"

And so Kyo leaves Reaper in peace.

Reaper shorts." The kiba is my sword. Its designed to cleave deep into a foe, and retain the slashing and stabbing of a standard sword." Then Kyo says that he wasn't strong enough yet." Alright. That's true enough." Then..he leaves. Reaper shakes his head, then turns back to the dummy. He had to keep at it...
