A New Place (HB/ Open)

Sunaki walked around the village of Konohagakure looking around silently. She had arrived not too long ago and was now waiting on her new ally, Reaper, to return to her. He had left to address their current status to the Hokage and figure things out or something. The Village was different from most but it was after all in a whole new area than the places sh has been thus far.

Kids were running around laughing and playing, adults were going about their jobs and businesses and so many seemed like they didn't have a care in the world. It was odd seeing people so at ease since for years the places she had been people seemed much different. She noticed Reaper nearing her and looked to him with a small smile. "So, What did you figure out?" She asked plainly.

Reaper looks at her, then nods.".........Yes......." He considers, then decides." In order for us to stay here, I'm to give my blade to the village of Kohona...I'm going to become a Leaf Village shinobi, if we are to stay here, where its safe from the Octopus..." He adjusts his mask.

She blinked at his words looking rather surprised. "Oh..." She looked down slightly "Does this mean you won't be training me now that you'll be busy being a shinobi?" She asked. She was glad that they would be safe now and they were sticking together but she had really been hoping to get some training in with some one she trusted.... but not become a ninja of course... she refused to become one.... if she did... he'd win...

The exmerc blinks at her question.She seemed uspet..... He tilts his head, then shakes it, clearing Hus throat and speaking gruffly." Of course I'll train you. I said I would.I'll be quite busy, but we can manage." He adjusts his sword, somewhat nervously. The grim fighter wasn't quite sure his to deal with thus....what if he was too gruff?

She looked up more when he said he'd still train her and smiled a little. "Good" She noticed how he adjusted his sword. "... you okay? You're adjusting your gear more than usual" She pointed out wondering if something was wrong with him or if he was just uncomfortable in his gear or something.

Reaper blinks at her question, forcefully stilling himself.He had to learn to stop at that...It was a good indicator of what he was feeling."....Yes, I'm just fine." He reaches up to adjust his mask, but stops, curling his armored hand in front of where his mouth be and clearing his throat." Uhm...do you yhave a place to stay yet?"

"...." She was about to speak up and persist as to why he felt so bad clearly he did since he was trying to not appear to be sad. She then blinked and shook her head. "Uh no.... I uh.... I thought I'd be staying with you so I sorta didn't look for a place." she said with an awkward smiled and laugh.

It wasn't quite that he felt had...he just felt awkward.Yes, the big scary, grim reaper theme shinobi felt awkward. Give him a break, he hasdnt had much opportunity to be...normal.Reaper nods." Quite. Good, good.....So, what kind of home do you wish?"

She blinked when he said it was good. She was frankly surprised by this, usually a misunderstanding like this from her knowledge of her past would lead to the other person being crude to her for assuming such a thing. "Oh uh" she also was surprised that he was letting her do the picking of the place they would be living at.

A house were they could live would be nice, it'd feel like she would have a real home to live in where she belonged. But.... it would cost much more than just a hotel room... She already put Reaper out so much.... "I'll let you decide. You're gonna be the one paying after all, I am still very much broke."

When she said he could pick, the ex mercenary nods, thinking as he paces back and forth." Very well....let's see...I haven't much money at the moment, so it'll have to a hotel for now....As for when we get a home....someplace I can easily defend without much destruction, so wide, large rooms..hmmm..."

She watches him pace back and forth as he thought she nodded the the hotel but then paused as he mentioned getting a home. "A.... home....?" He actually was considering living in a home with her, he was even thinking for long term uses too... she normally didn't stick around in one place for long let alone with people... but the thought of finally having a decent person stick around her for a long time... it sorta felt nice.

Reaper pauses as she speaks, and tilts his head. She seemed surprised...Well, truthfully, so was he....He never thought he'd find himself in this kind of situation...But, being able to look after someone,instead of scaring someone....It felt....nice. He clears Hus throat." ...Yes...a home...A hotel,no matter how nice, is no place to live for long. I told you I'd protect you, and that means finding a decent place."

She nodded a bit smiling softly, she didn't know if she should hug him or not, She had just met him not to long ago and didn't know him all to well but... she didn't know. "Right, well thank you" She said with another nod "so I guess this is when we start looking for a hotel to stay in for now?"

Reaper blinks, stunned somewhat at the thank you. He adjusts his mask, turning around.".....No need for thanks......I am but holding up a promise." Nodding, the shinobi starts walking way." Yes......we must find onede ent enough to live in extended periods of time."

"Right..." She said looking off a bit as she started to follow him around she nodded at his comment on what they needed and started to look around for said thing silently as she walked beside him. Without looking at him she then asked. "Now that you'll be a ninja here... does that mean you're going to go on dangerous missions....?" She asked, she had lost someone very important to her long ago because of the person always going off on dangerous missions. She didn't know this guy well but he was still nice to her and tolerated her so the thought of losing him on a mission sorta scared her a bit.

He blinks at the question, answering honestly."Yes, of course, or at least in a while...I'm sure they'll test me, at first." He considers why she would ask that, and gets it easily. That voice...it had a similar feel to his....." But, I will not die easy.....I have too many promises to keep to let my body give up....So try not to worry."

She looked down sadly by his words clearly becoming troubled by them despite him reassuring her person she had lost did the same to her each time she had left... but it didn't stop her from leaving and never coming back. "right..." she paused after a moment before looking to him. "You're right you won't, cause i'm going to go with you on missions to make sure you don't." She said as if it was a fact of life that you couldnt argue about

Reaper twitches. She's what?! He looks at her, blinking. And the girl was so confident about it too...".........How, exactly...will I protect you on a dangerous mission, hmm? I'll be occupied with enemies, and...." And he didn't want her to see him at his worst..."and you're fartoo small, and...experienced."

She narrowed her eyes crossing her arms and looked annoyed. "That's the point I'll protect you then and you can protect me else where!" she then punched him in his arm "And I'm not small you're just big! Also I so am experienced I survived alone for years!" She recrossed her arms "Now, I'm gonna go with you and there's nothing you can say to make me change my mind!" She said nodding her head once with closed eyes.

Reaper blinks at her first statement." But, that doesn't make any se-eh?" She punches him In the arm. Why?He snorts, but decides to let her speak.The exmerc examines the girl. Hmmm...there was no way shed listen, is there....He growls, then sighs, adjusting Hus mask." Fine......but the instant I think its too dangerous, you will retreat, even if I have to drag you away myself.Oh, and....." He raises a mailed fist, tapping her lightly on the head with his knuckles."That's for hitting me. Now, let's find a place...." He spots a likely hotel, and walkjs toward it.

she pouted when he told her shed have to retreat. "I'm not a little kid! I can handle myself! And i guess you'll have to drag me away cause if it gets that bad then you have to retreat too then!" she said with narrowed eyes but then held her head after he tapped her head, it stung for a moment and not too badly but still stung after all. She couldn't be mad for him hitting her, far was fair after all. She sighed before nodding and following him to the hotel. "Nice looking place." she said looking around as they walked in.

Reaper growls.Blast, she was stubborn.The exmerc grumbles under Hus breath."Shedevil....."They enter the place, and his new roommate says nice place. He nods, humming." Yes......it will do....." He strides towards the desk, ignoring the people giving him strange looks.

She blinked hearing slightly what her grumbled out and narrowed her eyes "HEY!" She looked off annoyed as they continued to walk in towards the desk. She noticed the people giving strange looks and followed their eyes to Reaper. She hadn't honestly thought of it before now but... he really did look rather different from most others. She looked to the man who worked there as he would adress them. "We need a room here."

Reaper raises an eyebrow at the shout, though it wouldn't be seen."Yes?" The person manning the desk beams at them, though she seemed to regard Reaper with some trepidation." Of course, dearie. How long." Reaper answers." We're not sure.....we need a place to stay until I find a real home." The woman twitches slightly at the growling voice, but nods." O-of course! If you two will follow me..."

"Calling me names is mean..." she grumbled out  in a childish manner she then nodded and followed the woman. She noticed the uneasiness of the woman and walked up beside her. "Don't worry about him hes really just a big fluff ball as long as you're a nice person. If you aren't then you should probably run the other way. But you're a nice person, right miss?" She said smiling up to her.
